As experimentation in the field of the application of artificial intelligence to legal data and the rule of law progresses, political, professional and academic attention tends to focus on the potential dangers of data misuse and the need for safeguards. This risks preventing or inhibiting creative research and innovation in this area. Daniel Greenberg argues that many of the perceived risks are relatively unimportant, and do no more than match existing dangers and inefficiencies in the pre-AI legal world.
